"Coaching like this is something that everyone should do if they get the chance, just a small amount of time each week does really help me to see the bigger picture and more clearly... It feels like progress is possible!"

Meet Ben

For much of my life, I thought there was one version of success.
After years of training as an opera singer, I followed the path I believed I was supposed to pursue: auditions, performances, contracts, and striving to build a career on the stage. While I was fortunate to perform with leading companies and organisations, I increasingly realised that the traditional path wasn't the only path, and it wasn't necessarily the right fit for everyone.

What I discovered was that many of the most fulfilled creatives weren't building careers that looked identical to those around them. They were creating careers that reflected their strengths, values, interests, and ambitions. Rather than fitting themselves into a predetermined mould, they were designing work and lives that felt meaningful and sustainable.

Today, alongside my work as a professional singer, I have built a portfolio career spanning performing, teaching, facilitation, coaching, and leadership development. This journey has taught me that there is no single definition of success and no one "correct" career path.

That belief sits at the heart of my coaching. I am passionate about helping musicians, creatives, educators, and professionals gain clarity about what matters most to them, build confidence in their decisions, and create careers that are aligned with who they are—not who they think they should be.

Alongside my coaching practice, I design and deliver programmes in higher education and professional development, working with organisations including Imperial College London, Dutch National Opera & Ballet, St Martin-in-the-Fields, and University of Waikato.

I trained in Executive Advanced Core Skills Coaching at Guildhall School of Music & Drama (EMCC accredited) and am based in Christchurch, New Zealand, working with clients internationally.
